  • We are a small business offering that extra level of support that large businesses may not offer. We can remove photos from albums and frames for scanning or scan photos that may not fit into the automated scanning units used by larger businesses. your phots are important so we take that level of care.

    As certified members of The Photo Managers, we adhere to their standards and governance. They are an international group of photo organisers offering support and training. Together we can find solutions to your needs.

  • It helps to be clear on your goals for your collection and know what you would like to achieve. We will offer a checklist to help you to gather your items.

    Most people don’t know how many photos or images that they have and it can be surprising. You may wish to estimate the number as follows.

    • a pile of photos 25mm high is approximately 100 photos

    • a stack of slides 50mm high is approximately 40 slides

    Other inputs we often request will be information allowing us to date photos. A family timeline is great start.

  • We are based in south-west Sydney servicing the Sydney area. including option of pickup/delivery. There are many ways we can help you to get your photo collection in order no matter on your location.

  • Communication is important for both parties and we can agree on progress meetings by email, phone or Zoom calls.

  • Every project is unique and our pricing is formulated by your goals and the agreed level of service. You may wish to have us help you to complete tasks yourself. Following our free consultation, if you wish us to work together, we will have a discovery session where we work out the scope of the project and can provide an estimate.

    Project cost is influenced by :

    • number of photos or images

    • are your images physical or digital or both

    • your level of organisational requirements

    • is there any deadline to complete this project

    Should we find something is taking longer than thought we will only proceed with your consent. We also offer packages of service hours which gives you the flexibility to control your spend.

  • You can completely outsource all the work to PhotosSorted or we can work with you to perform some tasks yourself and we can assist you with a 1:1 training.

  • Yes, we currently scan photos, photo albums, slides, negatives, documents and children’s artworks onsite.

    Negatives and videos come in many sizes and there are some which we may have to outsource to a partner.

    We can also offer photobooks which we outsource to our local photo managers.

  • This can be a time-consuming task to organise a lifetime of memories which is why many never complete it. The amount of time depends on your goals.

    However many realise that digitising their photos provides an organisational capability and a backup plan for peace of mind.

    The project can be completed in phases to reduce stress and assist budgets.

  • There are options on how this can be achieved

    • USB drive (dependent on number of images)

    • external hard drive (we can purchase one on your behalf)

    • cloud services (temporary download location setup by us or permanent location which is retained by you).

  • All media is returned to you.

    We only retain images for the life of the project plus 12 months unless agreed otherwise such as in a maintenance plan. Retaining images post-project has been added as a backup option and come to the rescue for some of our clients!

  • We will provide a plan to help your ongoing organisation. There are optional maintenance plans for scheduled assistance.
